Maddie Branagan is an Artist working within the Film/Tv industry with a special interest in Stop Motion Animation. She makes artistic, psychological films that celebrate the intersection of visual art and film alongside working commercially.

Maddie graduated with a First Class Honours in Illustration with Animation from the Manchester School of Art in 2021, where her grad film ‘Unconscious Projections’ screened across the world at festivals such as London International Animation Festival and Paris International Film Awards. The film won Best Student Film at the World Distribution Awards and Best Student Director at Kosice Film Festival, Slovakia.

Since graduating, Maddie has worked as an Additional Animator, Set Dresser, Model Maker and Scenic Painter on the BAFTA long-listed stop motion short 'Salvation Has No Name', directed by Joseph Wallace, and continues to work within the film/tv industry under various art department roles, such as Art Assistant on a series of stop motion animated commercials produced for LinkedIn, Additional Buyer on the Live Action, BAFTA long-listed feature film ‘Blue Jean’, petty cash buyer on season 6 of SKY's 'Brassic' and as an Art Department assistant for Live action TV commercials such as, 'Hey Pharmacist', 'McDonalds' and 'Sky Bet'.

Maddie also works in partnership with Cosgrove Hall Films Archive facilitating animation engagement workshops across Greater Manchester, while continuing to develop her own short film which received funding from Cosgrove Hall Films Archive x Creative Industries Trafford.

Maddie is currently working across Live Action TV/Film under various Art Department roles.
